31.10.04 Niko focusing on 2007 After racing in Honda Civic Type R Cup at awesome Nürburgring Nordschleife, Niko is already concentrating for another racing season 2007. Championship finished at last weekend and there was also a seat available for Niko, but Finnish ace didn't catch this opportunity. "It was only a final race of the season and there was nothing to catch up in the championship. Also the price for the race was a bit too high at this point of season" Niko explained his decision. After weak performance in the later half of the championship, KRS-Motorsport finished fifth in Honda Civic Type R Cup 2006. During the season, 14 teams gain points from races. "In my first race in May and also in 24 hours race our speed was absolutely top in Honda class. With better luck and better technical constancy we could finish top three in championship" Niko said. For season 2007 Niko already have clear plans. Honda Civic Type R Cup will be renewed by new and futuristic sculpted Civic Type R model and it will surely increase the value of championship. Otherwise Cup's concept will remain as it was in season 2006 and all races will be at Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit alongside with VLN Langstrecken Meisterschaft. "New model is truly positive change for 2007. I like this championship and my main aim is full season in Honda Civic Type R Cup in 2007" Niko told.
